The Scholastic Art Awards are the nation's longest-running and most prestigious educational initiative supporting student achievement in the visual arts. The program has an impressive legacy, with alumni including Andy Warhol, Richard Avedon, and Cy Twombly. It's also the largest source of scholarships for creative teens.
We are thrilled to announce that 14 Léman student artists were recognized, including two who won national awards. This marks the first time that our school was represented on the national level. Congratulations to our winners and our visual arts faculty members. Also, please note that Gold Key winning works are currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art through May 29th as part of the Scholastic Art Award Exhibit.
