Léman Participates in National School Walkout

March 14, 2018

This morning, Léman Manhattan participated in the National School Walkout in solidarity with hundreds of other schools across the country to honor the students who lost their lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School on February 14. Over 500 students, staff and faculty members gathered in front of the New York Stock Exchange where Head of School Maria Castelluccio and members of the Middle and High School student body lent their voices to this important movement calling for school safety for all. As one student stated, “we deserve security and we deserve safety in our schools and everywhere, and we believe that it is time for the country and the world to listen to the voices of young people.”
