9th Grade Service Trip to Belize

October 13, 2026

On Saturday, October 3, our Grade 9 students embarked on a school-funded, weeklong service trip to Belize, where they had the opportunity to connect with a new community, contribute to meaningful projects, and experience the impact of service firsthand. Through this immersive experience, students extended their learning beyond the classroom while engaging with a new cultural environment and exploring the importance of community involvement.

During the trip, students helped build a school, participated in traditional outdoor games, visited Mayan ruins, and shared meaningful experiences with local students. Working together on a community project encouraged students to collaborate toward a common goal while gaining a deeper appreciation for the role that education and community resources play in people's lives. Their cultural activities and historical exploration also offered opportunities to learn about Belize's rich heritage and broaden their perspectives.
