Community Engagement Day at City Harvest

Every year, Léman faculty and staff start the new school year by coming together for Community Engagement Day. This year at City Harvest, they helped pack and prepare food for those in need across New York City. The annual tradition offers an opportunity for faculty and staff to step away from their everyday roles, connect with colleagues, and make a meaningful contribution to the wider community before welcoming students back to campus.

City Harvest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing high-quality surplus food and delivering it to New Yorkers in need. The organization helps ensure that nutritious food reaches the individuals who need it most. During this year’s Community Engagement Day, Léman faculty and staff worked together to package thousands of apples for distribution. The experience was not only an opportunity to give back but also a chance to strengthen connections within our own school community. By beginning the school year in service to others, Léman faculty and staff created a strong foundation for the year to come.
