Alumnus Lucas S. '22 Receives Stanford University's Frederick Emmons Terman Engineering Scholastic Award

We are delighted to celebrate Léman alumnus Lucas S., Class of 2022, who was recently honored with the prestigious Terman Engineering Scholastic Award at Stanford University. Recognizing exceptional students among Stanford’s top engineering graduates, the award also celebrates the pre-college educator who played a meaningful role in each student’s intellectual development. Lucas chose to honor his former Léman teacher, David Poston, for the lasting impact he had on his academic journey.

During his time at Stanford, Lucas pursued his passion for bioengineering through innovative research in areas including genome mapping, drug discovery, and AI-driven protein design. Following his graduation, Lucas will continue his work at the intersection of engineering and medicine as an MIT Presidential Fellow in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology PhD Program.
