9th Grade International Trip to Belize!

A new and exciting offering in the high school this year is the Léman sponsored annual international trip for the entire 9th grade. This expands international travel opportunities for Léman students. The trip is fully funded by Léman, enabling all students to take advantage of this international learning opportunity.

This experience gives students the opportunity to give back to the community, build lasting connections with their peers, and develop greater independence. Our students put in an incredible amount of work to support a local school in Belize. They worked hard to mix cement, dig holes, attach fencing, and paint the exterior of the building. It was rewarding to see their teamwork pay off in such a visible and meaningful way.

In addition to the service work, students had the chance to dive into Belizean culture. They tried their hands at traditional drumming, helped prepare local meals, explored ancient Mayan ruins, and even made cuca, a sweet treat unique to the region. These moments offered both fun and meaningful insights into life in Belize.
