Student Filmmakers Shine Bright at 7th Annual Léman Film Festival

On Wednesday, January 25th, the Fine Arts Department hosted the 7th Annual Léman Film Festival. This year, 23 student filmmakers submitted films, with 21 being passed to a panel of judges who ultimately selected 14 to be screened as winning projects across nine categories.

 

This year’s panel consisted of five judges, all of whom are well-respected professionals in the film industry: Vidushi Chadha, Maren Lavelle, Katrina Medoff, Violet Price, Rabia Sultana. Keynote speaker, Maren Lavelle delivered a speech that assured Léman students that simply taking action is the most important thing one can do both in making art and in life.
