Léman Chess Players Score Big in Local Tournament

On Sunday, February 4, a group of nine CECE and Lower School students participated in a tournament hosted by NYC Knights, PS 41's chess club. Joined by L+ and CECE After-School Chess Coach Lenny Kadishev, our players made Léman proud by winning multiple awards and recognition from the judges. 4th grader Nihaarika Shrikant and 3rd grader Shane Garber, took 4th and 10th place, respectively. This is the first time a group of Léman chess players have represented our school as a group. We look forward to more successes in the future!
