Léman Swimmers Poised for Success at NYSAISAA Finals

February 25, 2020

While most Winter seasons have wrapped up, several of our Léman swimmers continue to push themselves to faster swims and better times at the second annual NYSAISAA meet.

After an evening of qualifying swims, Léman Varsity swimmers will return to Horace Mann on Tuesday in an effort to place in the top eight (finals) or top sixteen (consolation finals) in their event against state-wide competition.

Logan Gallivan, Layla Khitin and Charles Fagbohun will be returning for Finals tonight; Charles is currently seeded 1st, after preliminaries, in the 500 Freestyle and the 100 Butterfly. Logan is seeded 16th in the 50 Free and 13th in the 100 Free. Layla is seeded 15th in the 100 Breaststroke.

Andrei Khazatsky and Joao Rezende Barbosa will also return, along with Charles and Logan to earn their 200 Free relay team a top-eight finish (currently seeded 7th) and, another new Léman record which was just set last night.
