Lower School Grades 1-5
Application Process

We welcome your interest in grades 1-5 of Léman's Lower School housed at our Broad Street Campus. Léman's Lower School is a vibrant, joyful place with a curriculum focused on educating the whole child and developing strong critical thinking skills. We offer a diverse program that encourages students to reach their academic, social and emotional potential in a challenging yet nurturing environment that embraces family, community and citizenship.

Léman Manhattan maintains a limited number of placements for the 2020-21 academic year. Please contact a member of the admissions team with any questions. The application for 2021-22 is now open.

Step 1

Create an online application.

Complete the online application process and submit the processing fee. Léman Manhattan uses the Ravenna system for our application process. If you do not have an account, please create one.

Step 2

Submit all required forms.

Please complete and submit the following forms, which available on Ravenna, by the application deadline date:

Parent Authorization for Release of Records

For grade 1:
School Recommendation Form for Kindergarten and Grade 1 Applicants

or for grade 2 through 5:
Confidential Teacher Recommendation Form for Grade 2 Through 5 Applicants

Step 3

Visit our campus.

Attend one of our online tours. Online tours are held both in the mornings and evenings. You can schedule your online tour or get more information on our Ravenna page. In-person tours will be available for families following attendance at an online admissions event.

Step 4

Have an interview.

Upon receipt of the required forms, our admissions office will contact you to schedule the applicant and parent interviews. Students applying for Grades 1-5 will be assessed through a personal interview which will be held virtually.

Step 5

Register for admission testing. (Grades 2 through 5 only)

When registering for admission testing indicate Léman Manhattan Preparatory School as a recipient of the test scores.

Applicants for grades 2 through 4 are required to take the ECAA administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) (school code: 336630).

Applicants for grade 5 must take either the ISEE administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) (school code: 336630) or the SSAT (school code: 4572).
