Kindergarten
Application Process

We welcome your interest in Léman Manhattan Preparatory School's Kindergarten program. The Kindergarten program is part of Léman's Lower School, located on our Broad Street Campus. Through our play-based program and hands-on learning experiences, children ignite their curiosity and build a sense of belonging during the most influential time in their development. Our robust academic program provides proficiency in literacy and math, fostered by Columbia University Teachers College Readers and Writers Workshop and an integrated math curriculum focused on problem-solving. Students take French, Spanish and Mandarin, taught by native speakers, in addition to our signature Violin Program, Woodworking, and swim.

Applicants must be 5 years old by September 1 of the school year for which they are applying. The application for 2022-2023 is now open. There are still limited spots open for 2021-2022. Please contact the admissions team to apply.

Create an online application.

Complete the online application process and submit the processing fee. Léman Manhattan uses the Ravenna system for our application process. If you do not have an account, please create one.

Please complete and submit the following forms, which available on Ravenna, by the application deadline date: Parent Authorization for Release of Records Form and School Recommendation Form for Kindergarten and Grade 1 Applicants.

Step 3

Step 4

Have an interview.

Upon receipt of the required forms, our admissions office will contact you to schedule the applicant and parent interviews. Parents will be interviewed by a member of the Admissions team. Kindergarten students will be assessed in a playgroup setting.

Step 5

Send us a video (optional).

In an effort to get to know your child better, we encourage you to send a video of them taking part in something they love such as singing a favorite song, telling a story, or showing us original artwork – anything that you would like to share which will show us what kind of community member they will be. Your video should be up to 90 seconds in length.
